4. Orders & Contract Formation
A contract between you and Empire Chess is formed when we send an order confirmation email after payment has been authorised. We reserve the right to cancel any order if:
- Items are out of stock
- Payment cannot be verified
- Information provided is inaccurate or fraudulent
5. Pricing & Payment
All prices displayed include applicable VAT (if required). We accept payment methods enabled by Shopify (credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, etc.). Payment must be received in full before dispatch.
6. Delivery & Shipping
Delivery is as described in our Shipping Policy. Orders placed before 16:00 (Monday–Friday) will be dispatched according to our stated processing times. Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays or other circumstances beyond our control.
7. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
Our Refund & Returns Policy explains returns eligibility, refund processes, and fault handling. By placing an order you accept those terms.
8. Risk & Title
Risk in the goods passes to you once the goods are delivered. Title remains with Empire Chess until full payment is received and processed.

Except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, Empire Chess will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of business. Our total liability in respect of any claim will not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant goods.
